Sunday in Cancun

We are still feeling the effects of TS Alex - very windy. But this afternoon it hasn't rained, so we can swim and take walks. The worship service this morning at Roca Fuerte was wonderful. Most of it was in Spanish, so we were a little challenged with understanding everything, but they are a wonderful, warm and welcoming congregation. Our group had a time of sharing in the service. Pastor asked Aly to play trumpet and provided one for her to play. Aly played beautifully on the spot with no preparation! Emily and Laura gave a testimony about why God is important in their lives and Renee (an American volunteer at the Children's Home) translated. Then we sang Sanctuario (Sanctuary) and Dios de Elias (Days of Elijah) in a mixture of Anglais and Espanol. Elizabeth and Laura did a wonderful job introducing Sanctuary in Spanish and Dalton and Jessia also did a great job introducing Days of Elijah in Spanish. Pastor was able to borrow 2 guitars so David and I were able to accompany. And I must say, our group sounded GREAT! Awesome harmonies! Afterwards, Pastor gave everyone a certificate and thanked us for the work we are doing at the church. And then they prayed over our team. Pastor's wife, Esther, and some very nice ladies from the church made us a wonderful lunch afterwards.
